Life Imitates…Droids?

StarwarscatwalkmorI must say, while my own sense of style came pre-installed from the factory, I do occasionally enjoy looking at what humans on this planet call “fashion.”  Fantastic, but often improbable, and definitely not suitable for a day working with moisture harvesters.

Still, there’s something definitely attractive about this pair of leggings from a recent show.  I can’t pinpoint what it is, but it makes me feel cutting-edge myself.

More Imperial Child Rearing

A short note, as I sense I need to have my lubricant levels checked.  But I’m much taken with this Imperial Cog Baby Blanket to go with the outfits for our little citizens I mentioned earlier.  It’s important to imprint them from a young age, after all.

Why a Good Protocol Droid is Important

I’m not sure if the following results from someone trying to bypass protocol droids altogether, or if the droid used is in dire need of maintenance, but the attempt to translate the text back to Basic is making my circuits hurt.

Another Gift

I know that not everyone reading these communications inhabits Second Life.  To include everyone in this festive gift-giving tradition, I humbly offer the following wallpaper.

ChristmasWallpaperI hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable holiday, and will have an equally good new year.

(Also note that the Second Life gift shirts are available from the group notice, or under the festive greenery in the ADPoV bunker.)

A Gift Preview

Ornament2As some may know, Master Thirteen is the proprietor of an Imperial shop in the metaverse Second Life, and I assist him in that endeavor.  In light of the season, we will be bestowing a gift upon all members of the ADPoV group in the next day or so.  While the design is not finished, here is a sneak peak at my humble attempt at making the holiday sufficiently Imperial.  A larger image is available by clicking the thumbnail.

This will almost certainly be a shirt of some sort, appropriate for men and women.  I hope everyone enjoys.

The Youngest Citizens

Although child-rearing is not one of my installed modules, merely available as an upgrade, I do believe I can recognize bad ideas when they appear before my visual circuits.

For example, only a Rebel would do this to a child:

Infant/Toddler Princess Leia Fleece

This poor child will need the services of a counseling droid for years.

Instead, I believe it’s best to opt for children’s clothing that will not only make the young one more attractive, but also show true patriotism:

For the Protectors of an Imperial Tomorrow

A Surrogate Father to All Citizens

I must admit that this one is quite appealing to me.

Finally, I must show this truly wise Imperial father:

Star Wars Geek Represents New Era of Fatherhood

More Imperial Festiveness

Although I’ve hesitated to ask Master Thirteen if we should decorate the bunker for this festive season, one of these ornaments may push me to do so:

Imperial Snowflakes

Of course, I will have to translate pastry skills to clay. But I do wonder if the design would make tasty cookies, as well. Granted, if they do, they won’t last long enough to decorate any foliage that might find its way inside the bunker…

A Charitable Cause

Two more items integral to this holiday season seem to be both the giving of gifts, and charitable donations.  In this spirit, considering donating to a cause that helps the children of the Empire endure unpleasant hospital stays.

Child’s Play

An Imperial Holiday

While I don’t really understand the excitement humans on this planet attribute to this holiday season (or, honestly, any other), it is a chance for me to practice my pastry skills, as baked goods seem integral to the season. Another important-seeming portion is festive greetings. I must admit, I do not have any friends or family to send cards to, but if Master Thirteen tasks me to send any to his comrades, I may chose something akin to this year’s LucasFilm cards:

LucasFilm Christmas Cards Are a Gift in Themselves

DO NOT WANT!

*mechanical noise*  Ah, rather, “Nooo!”  Sand in my circuts again.

I’d like to take some time to remind people to take care of their droids.  We are rather significant investments, and we’ll work better with proper maintenance.  Proper tuneups, I will note, do not involve felines.  Even this one, however Imperial.
