Aren’t You The Cutest Little…Bounty Hunter?

I must say, there are a great number of toys inspired by sights familiar to Master Thirteen and myself, brought to this planet by the Star Wars movies.  Most are of commercial mass-manufacture, of course.  Occasionally, though, one does find some adorable custom made items.

Here are a few examples.  I am slightly saddened that the Stormtrooper isn’t as adorable as Boba Fett or Lord Vader.  Of course, I’m still slightly confused by the idea of Lord Vader as cute, rather than inspiringly powerful.  But to each his own, I suppose.

Yet Another Gift

QT Heart BlueAt Master Thirteen’s request, I’ve completed a companion piece to the last gift.  While I’m not sure anyone has fond feelings for any droid, if you do you can now show them in Second Life.

Shirts for ladies and gentlemen can be found in a group notice dated 2/7/2008, and also in the Listening Room of the shop.

Another Seasonal Gift

13pinkOnce again in Second Life we have a gift available to all members of our group, or from our shop.  Group members, you can find this simple declaration of love for everyone’s favorite trooper in a notice dated 2/5/2008.  In the shop, please look in the listening room.

This set (a t-shirt available both tucked and untucked) will probably appeal most to female fans.  However, gentlemen, don’t worry.  This droid will have a gift for you in a few days.

The Trouble with Astromechs

Like his fussy protocol droid companion, I don’t understand the human fascination with rebel astromech R2–D2.  However, he is still a droid, and we all seem to see a fair number of misuses.  This is one:

R2-D2 Peppermill at ThinkGeek

Thank the Maker that Master Thirteen would never use me for something so beneath my abilities.  Of course, there is a well-engineered peppermill available in the kitchen should he desire fresh pepper on his roba steak.

Steam Wars

SteamTIEAs I understand, children of this planet start playing with Lego brand toys from a young age.  That does not, however, stop adults from tinkering with them as well.

Here is one model from a contest from The Brothers Brick on “Steam Wars,” or giving what you humans so naively call “the Star Wars universe” a steampunk twist.  I am rather taken with the concept of a steam-powered TIE fighter, but there are quite a few other inventive creations as well.
