What Will They Expect Next?
I am not entirely sure what scientists on this planet are generally tasked to study, or what organizations fund them, but a recent study does make a droid wonder.
A organization knows as ATR Labs recently announced their findings on how long a delay humans are willing to tolerate in robotic responses. Delays of less than one second were best, and more than two were less than tolerable. However, it seems that humans are more willing to wait if the droid in question uses noises like those they use to fill gaps themselves.
It would seem that humans find us most comfortable when we pretend to be more like them. If this is the case, I do believe I shall look at introducing some random bugs into my logic circuitry. With, of course, a shut-off in case I’m misinterpreting these results.
