A Droid of Your Very Own
From what I’ve observed on this planet, the things humans refer to as robots are, on the whole, merely very primitive droids compared to my own model. However, they can be very useful in the proper application.
These models from Sideshow Collectibles, however, do not appear to be very functional at all, unless one needs a very large and costly paperweight, albeit one that has lights and makes the occasional noise. But then, they are modeled after Rebel droids, so perhaps they’re not terribly far off the mark.
C-3PO is priced at US $5950, and R2-D2 is US $5450. Both require a deposit of US $950. Also factor in the cost of the many AA batteries these models will consume over time. I’m sure the total cost of ownership of the BD-3000 units, my own model, looks much more reasonable, given our skill set.
