I have shared a fair amount of droid-related sculpture in the past, but I do believe this is the first digital droid art I have found. At left we have two charming rabbit droids, pondering a sunset.

Even on this planet, I do not see a great many floppy disks being used of late. It is very good to see, therefore, an alternate, and Imperial, use for this technology. Granted, the sound quality is not up to the normal standard of the composition, but an allowance does need to be made for the medium.
From time to time, I share artwork that I find to be well constructed or thoughtful. I suppose this sand sculpture qualifies as both.
It is certainly very technically well done. All the subjects are easily recognizable, and it appears as structurally sound as the medium can be. However, it does make me wonder if I am in need of maintenance to see the criminal Yoda sitting so comfortably on Lord Vader’s lap. It rather seems some strange homage to both Lord Vader and the Santa Claus or Father Christmas of this world.
I do believe I will go run some self diagnostics.
I have found another item that has piqued my interest, along the lines of the Font Bots from an earlier missive. This time we have Lord Vader constructed entirely of text. I am rather impressed that seems to capture his essence, or, at least, as described by Master Thirteen

This handsome fellow is Euclid, one of a number of pieces of robotic art from the Guy Robot line, made of repurposed leftovers otherwise determined for disposal.
Knowing humans, you will simply think, “They’re made of trash.” However, I don’t think it quite suits these droid models. For example, from the page with Euclid, he is describe as follows:

Apparently we are, or at least worthy of being included in a cultural exhibition. Washington D.C.’s prestigious Kennedy Center is currently featuring an exhibit on Japanese culture, and it includes some robots as part of the collection. Granted, these are toys, and not fully functional units such as myself, but it may still be an interesting experience. Perhaps I can convince Master Thirteen to take me…
As I understand, children of this planet start playing with Lego brand toys from a young age. That does not, however, stop adults from tinkering with them as well.
Here is one model from a contest from The Brothers Brick on “Steam Wars,” or giving what you humans so naively call “the Star Wars universe” a steampunk twist. I am rather taken with the concept of a steam-powered TIE fighter, but there are quite a few other inventive creations as well.

Humans here seem to like modifying themselves, in many seemingly strange ways. It makes the aforementioned diodes just…well, ache. I’m quite glad that I’m a droid, and therefore can be upgraded without resorting to extreme measures.
Master Thirteen has spoken on the issue of tattoos before. However, one more has brought itself to my attention. Personally, I prefer my tasteful Imperial Insignia.
I have heard from my fellow droids, tasked with educating their masters’ children, that it can occasionally be challenging getting the young ones to pay attention to their lessons in the common alphabet. While not complete, this set of illustrations may be most helpful.
Another human habit I don’t understand is the collecting of random items. Granted, I own nothing not physically attached to myself, and am in turn a possession of Master Thirteen’s. However, the art on these trading cards tickles me greatly, making even those despicable Jawas seem cute.
