More Troopers for a Cause

ClonearmyPictured is just a section of 35,310 Lego Clone Troopers assembled by a group of Lego UK employees to raise awareness for The National Autistic Society (obviously of the United Kingdom).  Even though Master Thirteen and I are not located in that geopolitical district, I thought it would be beneficial to show that Empire supports many charitable causes, despite what members of the Rebellion may claim.

I would, however, note that unlike the article claims, these are not the helmets from a previously shown machine.  Some authors apparently cannot differentiate between the Republic’s Clone Troopers and the Empire’s Stormtroopers.  There are, however, more impressive pictures attached to the article.

If Droids Wore Shoes

6a00e5508e95a9883300e5538dd3a48834-800wi_01-thumb-520x501Master Thirteen would probably not approve, as these boots are rather evocative of his armored ones.  However, for just that reason, if droids wore shoes, these would be at the top of my list.

Perhaps it is all for the best that my components are not, for the most part, user replaceable.

Making the Littlest Stormtrooper

LegoIt has been demonstrated in the past that the writers at Gizmodo and I do not always see eye-to-visual circuitry on quite a few issues.  However, they do feature an entry today that I find absolutely charming, combining two of my favorite things:  Stormtroopers and machinery.

Granted, these are merely the small, but adorable, Lego version of the Empire’s troopers, but it is still fascinating to watch, at least for this droid.

New Uses for Old Technology

Even on this planet, I do not see a great many floppy disks being used of late.  It is very good to see, therefore, an alternate, and Imperial, use for this technology.  Granted, the sound quality is not up to the normal standard of the composition, but an allowance does need to be made for the medium.

Mechanical Men

Honestly, I don’t think the sand here on Tattoine is beneficial to my translation circuits, so pardon any strangeness that may occur. However, I’ve found I must make note of these rather enthralling mechanical men. I wonder what their programming entails…

Of course, I do have to note that Master TD is rather more…functional…than these men. I shudder to think of how well the gears hold up in this environment.

Oh, my! There seems to be even more of them!
