Foldable Droids

robandskipPapercraft appears to be a very popular topic for those in the reading audience, at least according to the search reports.  While I continue to deal with technical issues, those who are interested in the subject may wish to look at these creations by PIPEROID.

Also, please remember to keep proper backups of all important files, both locally and off-site.  While it is quite slow restoring from a remote system, the ability to do so is invaluable right now, when both the local system and backup have failed.

A Plethora of Papercraft

PapercraftInterceptorFor today, we have not one, but sixteen different papercraft models for your crafting pleasure.  While some of these have been featured here before, the majority are new, including the TIE Interceptor, Stormtrooper Helmets, and the Star Destroyer.  All of these are obviously much more suitable choices for construction than acertain astromech.

Paper Protocol

C-3po_3Following on a theme from the last missive, it is often hard to mention R2–D2 without his companion C-3PO.  While the paper form is not fluent in any forms of communication, he is rather more adorable than his metallic inspiration.

A Quiet Astromech

R2d2-2Those members of audience who have been following these missives for any length of time may be aware that I am puzzled by the popularity of the astromech R2–D2.  While his technical abilities and programming do not seem lacking, he seems to have some functional issues in the personality department, causing him to respond less than agreeably to others on occasion, including his masters.

For those who would like a quieter, if less functional and durable, version of this astromech, I have found another papercraft project.  Part of the Toy-A-Day project, this droid is available for your folding and cutting pleasure.
