A day late, but once again a missive in honor of Pi Day, my production date. Once again, I thought I’d share some more items celebrating Pi.
Math is for girls (Notecards)
Pi (Letterpress Printed Artists Book)
3.14159 (from the Mathematical Series) (Necklace)
Pie – 3.14 – Recipe Cards – Set of 5
celebratory Pi Day magnet. (3.14)
For those of you who celebrate the holiday, please enjoy. For those who don’t, please have a pleasant day as well.
If you are looking for more Wookiee-centric holiday fun, you may want to visit the following:

The list of inappropriate uses a certain Rebel astromech is subjected to just keeps growing, it seems. The latest in a very long list is this aquarium, which features a periscope for fish viewing, LED lights which change color from red to blue to green, and a two-sided background.
I just hope that a great deal of thought has been given to the typical problems droids face in wet environments. Otherwise this would be an even more unwise investment than usual.

Once again, I do not understand the people at Gizmodo. The latest bit of oddity seems to be a contest to “document” robots turning on humans.
I find this absolutely ridiculous, of course. We droids are here to assist humans, not replace or harm them.
As always, I wonder where they get these ideas.

Master Thirteen would probably not approve, as these boots are rather evocative of his armored ones. However, for just that reason, if droids wore shoes, these would be at the top of my list.
Perhaps it is all for the best that my components are not, for the most part, user replaceable.

I am unsure how, but somehow I had suffered a malfunction, leading to my last missive. Thankfully, it has been corrected and my previous views on all Rebel astromechs have been restored.
I am rather upset at this malfunction, as my model rarely has issues of the sort, and I have not suffered one before. Perhaps it was some strangeness with the date, as humans in this political area seem to have an obsession with the first day of this month. It may bear further investigation, to prevent it in the future.
I know I have been most vocal in my disapproval of a certain Rebel astromech. But today I realize that I may be wrong about R2–D2.
After all, how can any female model droid resist a unit so skilled in so many things, but also with a certain amount of sensitivity?
Granted, he has been misled by the Rebellion, but I’m sure that logic and proper maintenance will work wonders. And if I am not mistaken, human women have much to say on the qualities of a rogue.
Perhaps I am in need of some maintenance myself, but I find myself quite intrigued. I shall have to explore this matter further.
Here is another shirt that I would love if I were not made of metal and circuitry. After all, who can resist the lovely combination of mathematics and baked goods?
Or so I’m told. While I’m quite proficient with pastry, I can only take Master Thirteen’s word for the quality of the results. I do, however, know what is on the dessert menu tonight.
As a droid, I do not actually have a birthday. I do, however, have a production date, and that is today: 3.14, or March 14th to a great many humans. Many of the more mathematical persuasion refer to today as Pi Day, and this fact, strangely, tickles me.
For the occasion, I thought I’d share some items of interest regarding Pi.
First, we have Pi as music. After defining a musical note for each integer, Pi10k will use it to sound the first 10,000 digits of Pi.
Next, a shirt that I like a great deal. I know that cake is traditional for a birthday, but given my designation, I’ll accept Cherry Pi as an alternative.
We also have something I’m not familiar with, called a “Pi gang hand symbol.” How peculiar.
Another shirt of which I am fond, this one depicting the Pi symbol as created by the digits of the number, and called “Pi By Numbers.”
There are several items of interest at Pi Land, including the Frequency of Each Digit of Pi.
You can adorn yourself with this I Love Pi Necklace.
Or, if you prefer, these Sterling Silver Pi Earrings.
This Cutie Pi Onsie lets you show your love of both children and math.
There’s even a book about Pi.
Finally, more than anyone will possibly want to know about Pi. I am especially fond of this image, which shows the relationship between the diameter of the circle and its circumference beautifully.
